EnglishJC Volunteer Together - First-Time Volunteers Recruitment
The Agency for Volunteer Service (“AVS”) is one of the six volunteer matching platforms collaborating with the “JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER PLATFORM” (“JCVTP”). With the support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, AVS launched a series of volunteer services to encourage those who first encounter volunteer service, whether they are families with young children, intergenerational volunteers, working adults or general public to take an active part in volunteering. To help build a caring and inclusive society, volunteers can discover and participate in different volunteer services via the JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER and Volunteer Hongkong platforms based on their preferences, including the type of service, location, date and time in the future.
Starting today to 31 July 2024, new volunteers who participated in any service from the JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER series and registered as members of the AVS Hong Kong Community Volunteers (“HKCV”), will receive a complimentary offer of a 2-year free HKCV membership (Promotion Code: JCVT-23) to enjoy limitless volunteering experience.

Recognition
As a sign of encouragement and appreciation, all volunteers who complete a service in the “JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER” series will receive an e-certificate. Meanwhile, all volunteers who have their “Volunteer Hongkong” (“V-HK”) accounts linked to the “JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER PLATFORM” will be able to consolidate their service records and get recognition by accruing volunteer hours throughout the year. Surprises await as a token of appreciation!
Notice to Participants
1. All participants (aged 6 or above) are required to register as members of AVS Hong Kong Community Volunteers (“HKCV”) .Individuals aged below 15 should obtain the written consent of their parents/guardians prior to registration.
2. All participants (aged 13 or above) are also required to register as users of “JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER PLATFORM” (“JCVTP”) .
3. All participants should attend the related training, pre-service briefing, or post-service debriefing session. The content of training and briefing varies according to the nature of volunteer service.
4. Upon acceptance of service registration, participants will receive a confirmation email 7 working days prior to the service. Regarding coordination of all related matters, AVS will send a WhatsApp message to the participants.
